ALT The image provides an update on the status of the ISS Ham Radio as of January 7, 2025. Here's a summary of the information: Columbus Module Radio: Configured for crossband repeater with a downlink frequency of 437.800 MHz and an uplink frequency of 145.990 MHz with PL 67 Hz. Service Module Radio: Configured for Packet (APRS) with an up and downlink frequency of 145.825 MHz. Upcoming Activities: ARISS Radio Outages: Due to upcoming US EVAs (Extravehicular Activities or spacewalks) on January 16 and January 23. Outage times are yet to be determined, with updates to be provided via ARISS social media. SSTV Certificates: Submissions for Series 23 certificates are due by Wednesday at 23:59 UTC (6:59 PM ET). Submissions can be made at https://ariss-usa.org/ARISS_SSTV/. Note: Event timing is subject to change. ALT While we're looking back with SSTV, ARISS achieved several other milestones: In February, teams from around the world gathered at KSC. We joined together to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Amateur Radio in Human Spaceflight. 111 STEM ham radio contacts completed in 2024 thanks to our mentors and the station crew. That puts the total STEM contact count at 1,700 since we started in December, 2000! While we're counting, Suni Williams, KD5PLB, set a record in early December with her 86th ham radio STEM contact from the ISS. Since then, she has padded her record to 90, and we're looking forward to even more in early 2025. Thank you Suni!
