Anthropic is rushing for an IPO. This isn’t confidence. It’s a race they can’t afford to lose. OpenAI is right behind them, and both are sprinting to the public markets at the same time. Mythos ships soon. It’ll be an amazing product, it’lll torch the benchmarks. The case studies will be gorgeous. Everyone will lose their minds. Then reality shows up. Whether they can actually afford to run Mythos across an entire company is a completely different question. One wins headlines. The other wins enterprises. I don’t think Mythos is the second one. Not yet. And the S-1 is where that finally gets exposed. Real numbers. Is this thing paying for itself? Or is it being propped up by burn to make the IPO look pretty?

Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.

well thats fucking it - anthropic has officially replaced software engineers. claude is now a 24 hr autonomous coding agent. claude can now operate your entire computer and CLAUDE CODE = end-to-end software engineering: - claude writes the code for you - then literally opens the app it coded - clicks through the entire app and find bugs - then fixes the bugs and improves the app in hours. previously claude generated code, you run it and give claude feedback. thats completely gone now. all in a continuous loop without leaving your terminal 😂 we're barely through monday. well done lol
