We take an oath to uphold the Constitution. FISA violates that. I voted no.

I just read a post where someone was trying to call out the riskiness of a SpaceX investment by calling it a "moonshot". The goal of Space X is literally to build a self sustaining city on Mars. Mars is about 140x farther than the Moon. We know it's a hard goal. That's why it's exciting. The people excited about SpaceX aren't people looking for safe and steady returns. We want to be a part of funding the expansion of civilization beyond the Earth. Do I happen to think there's some money to be made along the way? Yes, yes I do, but it's about a lot more than that going on here. It's about optimism about the future. About creating a future we actually want to live in.

What's wild is that very few countries have more money than they have debt. There's probably only a couple dozen countries that aren't net negative. So taking debt into account I have more money than most countries.
Jokes apart ONE guy having more money than all countries except like 10 is WILD

This is communism.
Donald Trump is basically describing Universal Capital Ownership. If AI creates trillions of dollars in new wealth, normal people should not just watch a few companies and investors get insanely rich. The public should own a piece of the upside too. That could mean equity stakes, public dividends, or a national AI wealth fund where every citizen benefits when AI companies win. Because if AI starts doing more of the work, wages alone won’t be enough. People need ownership. This is how you make the AI revolution something the whole country can support. Let Americans share in the wealth of the most important technology boom in human history.

I have built a site that lets you purchase shipping labels with $Dash. Give it a try if you need to ship something. Feel free to message me if you have any, issues, comments, suggestions. dashship.replit.app/ Some Notes: 1. You should be able to copy paste your to and from address into the top field to auto populate the rest, or click the CSV import button to do a whole batch of recipients. 2. The site should remember your from address as long as you don't clear your browser data between uses. I have mostly tested it with USPS from the US, but UPS and Fedex should be available as well for most packages.

You're missing the point of SpaceX. It's mission justifies the investment. If you are looking for a safe and steady investment for your retirement fund, look elsewhere. We are funding making human civilization multi planetary. That's something I care deeply about, and I don't give a fuck if you think this is too much money to spend on that. Maximum downside is sitting here on this one rock while there's a whole massive, damned near endless universe out there to explore waiting for an asteroid, or super volcano, or whatever to erase all our civilization ever was and ever will be.
SpaceX IPO puts it at a value of $1.77 trillion Fewer than 10 companies in world history have ever reached this valuation. Yes, ever The financials / revenues of this company don’t merit this valuation. Not even close Maybe you think there’s upside here bc Elon is involved. But that’s the wrong mindset First rule of investing: protect your downside SpaceX downside is massive

The lottery is proof of poor financial management by a large portion of the population. It's also an inditement of the American education system.
Americans spent over $109 billion on lottery tickets last year. Poorer Americans are disproportionately the primary buyers, while states quietly collect billions in revenue from it. Someone spending just $50/week on lottery tickets loses over $100,000 over a lifetime and over $500,000 if that money had simply been invested instead.

Maybe I'm cut from a different cloth, but when I got into crypto, I never for one day thought "I hope I get fiat rich." I thought "I'm so excited to never have fiat or a bank again, I didn't even dream that was possible!' I expected to face prison time at some point. Many of my friends did go to prison. This is a REVOLUTION, and revolutions face resistance and have casualties. And yet you're worried about your bags and if you look dumb in front of your girlfriend for buying the wrong digital stock while you go back to your safe normie job and your bank? Pathetic, anon. Absolutely pathetic.

I remember when the internet was full of people who are excited about technology. These days it seems half the people are on social media so they can complain about social media and the data centers it runs in.

Look, guys. Politics isn't going to save us. We have to build our way out of this. Start living on crypto and decentralized tech today, or you might as well just plug yourself into the Matrix and be done with it.

This is the most depressing thing I have see in a long time. I can't imagine thinking a hard limit on what people can achieve is somehow a good thing. It's like advocating for failure. I know that people who make this stuff don't understand economics, but I can't help but feel like they actually want to destroy civilization. To me this reads like, someone else is doing better than me so we might as well burn the whole thing to the ground. Envy is possibly the most dangerous aspect of human psychology.

Here's my hot take, since every one is upset about daylight savings. We should abolish time zones. In a world where near instant global communication is the norm it makes sense for us all to be talking about the same time with the same words. When I have suggested this in the past about 80% of people have gone off on me about how they don't want to go to work in the middle of the night or something stupid like that. It's a really simple adjustment. Keep all the schedules the same, and just change the number you associate that time with. So get up at the same time of day, work at the same time, get lunch at the same time, you just use a different number to talk about it that's all. You make that adjustment once, and from that point on nobody will ever have to convert times from a different time zone to know when something is happening ever again.

This is actually quite interesting. I don't think there's a chance in hell they will let him become president, but the demographic shift is hard to ignore.
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie can win the Republican primary for president in 2028. Here's my case and demographic analysis: Baby Boomers are largely the cohort that opposes Massie (as well as Silent Generation that is older than them) According to mortality trends based on age, in 2 years there will be approximately 4.5-6 million less boomers (as many are entering the "mortality cliff") and approximately 1.5-2 million less Silent Generation. In total there will be approximately 7 million less people in the camp that tends to dislike Massie. However, approximately 8 million new 18 year olds will also be created in the next 2 years, which largely would support Massie in a primary. So in terms of just raw demographics the more "Pro Massie" demographic will grow by 8 million and the more "Anti Massie" demographic will shrink by 7 million. This doesn't factor in at all the likelihood that Massie could very well become more popular in the next two years and the Trump aligned candidates (like Vance or Rubio) could become less popular. Also Massie, like Trump did in 2024, is one of the few people that can put back together the coalition that won the White House. Conservatives, Libertarians, MAHA, and disaffected Liberals. Am I the only one that thinks that Massie could win in 2028?

Question for those of you posting about the Paypal account limitations. This is a demo of a decentralized social network with shops. It would be fairly easy to make a version of this that specifically served the kind of content that Paypal is blocking. yap.pr/store/view/?id=8FuJN4… You would be able to pay for content with crypto. It should be possible to make it support most common cryptos. Would you use this if an version of this was made specifically for that? @AniTVOfficial @dilophosaurid @Dengekichan @Wokenessisevil

Support blamed it on my browser. I tried different browsers. They hung up on me.
@NewHampshireDOT Received an email saying my EZpass account is negative. I try to login. It says I need to reset my password. I do the password reset. It says my new password doesn't have the special characters. I try lots of different characters on the list. Can't get it to take any password. Still says I didn't include those characters, even if the whole password is those characters. I try it in another browser. Same thing. I try to use chat support. No options for this. Can't get to a human. I try to call support. Can't get to human. Someone needs to fix this nonsense. You can't just tell people they need to make a payment and lock them out of their account at the same time.
