I understand from personal experience how important the freedom to be yourself and be accepted for who you are is. The freedom to walk down the street holding your partner's hand without fear is just one of the reasons why I believe Pride is more than just a party, it still has a vital political role to play in promoting equality. It is now time for me to give back to the community where I have been made so welcome and do my bit to ensure that Exeter continues to have a thriving, vibrant LGBTQIA community." - Annie

ALT Annual general meeting, Thurs 8th June, 6-8pm, First Floor Meeting Room, Exeter Phoenix, Gandy Street, EX4 3LS
ALT Chair - The Chair leads delivery of the Pride Festival and chairs monthly board meetings. Responsibilities include: Ensuring that Trustees and Committee members remains focused on the objectives of Exeter Pride and delivering an annual Exeter Pride event Developing and working with the board of trustees Resolving disputes and constructively responding to feedback from stakeholders within and outside the charity.
ALT Secretary - The secretary works closely with the Chairs to ensure the sound running of the charity. Responsibilities include: Arranging and preparing agendas for Board meetings Producing and circulating minutes from monthly Board meetings Generally pursuing and upholding the values of Exeter Pride
ALT Treasurer - Responsibilities include: Oversee and present budgets, accounts and financial statements at Board meetings. Ensure that record keeping and accounts meet the conditions of regulators, comply with relevant legislation and that annual accounts are submitted to HMRC and the Charity Commission. Ensure that any cash is kept secure, and deposited into charity bank account. Recording and processing incoming and outgoing invoices
