Running the good value 1H shots on Kimmich, who I expect will be given the green light to push forward today against a pretty weak Curaçao defense. I expect Germany to press high and hold a lot of the ball early, and this will allow Kimmich the overlaps with Sane on the right to ping a couple shots from range or take a couple from set piece situations like he occasionally does.

Love Balogun in the setup for this US side. I expect him (or Pepi who I assume will be his sub) to help Puli in creating goal chances.
Tillman in the pre-tournament friendlies was played extremely well in his deeper midfield role when it came to chance creation. Again, if it’s not Pulisic creating from open play, I anticipate it will be Tillman pushing through balls to the front 3.

Tani is a great creator of goals, I think him getting the start over Larin is a sign Marsch likes what he brings to the table in set-up play. I tend to agree with him. I think the set-up will come down the side where Bosnia is likely to be a little more loose in defense (Demi/Emil/Dedic) which should open up Tani to feed David and Buchanan across the center of the box. That will likely be Canada’s best way of scoring from open play.

He plays on the outside behind Canada’s best attacker Johnathan David. With how Bosnia is set to line up today, I’d expect Canada’s outside players to squeeze inside to keep the Bosnian wingbacks like dedic from getting to far forward, which should give Buchanan ample opportunity to score 👀
