Deeply shocking to read this official US statement, which contains absolutely no expression of regret or condolence for the loss of innocent Indian lives. How can a “friend” and strategic partner be so deeply insensitive? Why couldn’t a non-compliant commercial vessel have been stopped using other, non-lethal means? Hi! Yes, everything is e20 now (20% ethanol) XP100 and Power99 have lesser blend but they aren't available. Only 1-2 pumps per state. E20 existed for months now which was imposed on everyone even if your car is e5 or e10 compliant which itself was unfair but lately, it looks like blend is silently increased and getting tested. Is it e27 or e30 we don't know. This has caused fuel economy to go down further and causing severe issues in cars. Brand service advisors say, this is happening due to adulteration of fuel. Silently they say that ever since e20 is enforced problems have shoot up in Petrol cars. Brands say their cars are material compatible and they will repair everything till warranty lasts but even if you have warranty for 6 years, you will always be at risk after that. Things doesn't stop here. For Petrol cars which are 70% e10 right now, how can you enforce e30 as standard? No country does that! This is clearly done to have repeated sales and make people change cars like Phones. This is basically a knee jerk reaction to with fat bills of oil we are getting with our weak currency. All customers basically want are e10, e20 and e85 as separate dispensers and no adulteration at any level. This non clarity has ruined car market for informed buyers because now each tech, Petrol, Diesel and EVs have diff issues. So basically, even after paying 40% GST on car, crazy amount of registration fee, you still can't be sure to own your car trouble free for 10 years. Absolute clown show this. We are talking about this issue from 2024 itself in our Youtube videos when it wasn't even an issue.

अपनी बात यह स्वत:स्फूर्त आंदोलन होता युवाओं का तो हम समर्थन करते, जैसे किसान आंदोलन का किया था जैसे एंटी CAA आंदोलन का किया था, जैसे महिला पहलवानों के आंदोलन का किया था। कई मित्रों के सवाल आए कि इतना विरोध क्यों? क्योंकि 2011-14 के अन्ना आंदोलन की तरह यह भी संघ की सत्ता को स्थापित और मज़बूत करने की साज़िश लगता है मुझे। क्योंकि यह न तो स्वतःस्फूर्त लगता है न ही आर्गेनिक। संभव है इससे जुड़े अनेक लोग बेहद ईमानदार हों, उनकी नीयत शानदार हो, उनकी इच्छा सकारात्मक हो, लेकिन इसके पीछे कौन है यह संदिग्ध है और इस 'कथित' आंदोलन का पूरा स्वरूप अनेक सवाल खड़े करता है। देश एक अजीब दौर से गुज़र रहा है। भयावह आर्थिक संकट दरवाज़े पर है। परीक्षाओं के पेपर्स लीक होना सिर्फ़ एक लक्षण है, रोग बहुत बड़ा है। साम्प्रदायिकता समाज को भीतर से दीमक की तरह खा रही है। सोशल मीडिया एक दुधारी तलवार है और कोई एक पीढ़ी क्रांति नहीं करती। नेपाल या बांग्लादेश में भी कोई क्रांति नहीं हुई। अरब दुनिया में हुई कथित 'गुलाबी क्रांति' ने उन देशों को और पीछे पहुँचा दिया। ठीक उसी तरह 'अन्ना क्रांति' ने देश को सांप्रदायिक तत्त्वों के हवाले करने में बड़ी भूमिका निभाई। याद कीजिए जिस लोकपाल पर सबसे ज़्यादा शोर था, अब उसकी बात भी नहीं होती। जो आज बीस-पचीस साल के हैं, उन्हें 15 साल पुराना वह फ़साना याद नहीं होगा ठीक से। यह उम्र सपने देखने और कुछ कर गुज़रने के जज़्बे वाली है। इसका उत्साह समझ आता है। मध्यवर्ग नाखून कटवा के शहीद होने के सपने देखता है। अपनी ज़िंदगी में एक परिवर्तन देखना चाहता है बड़ा। सड़क, आंदोलन उसे आकर्षित करता है लेकिन देखा हमने कि वह उसमें जाकर शामिल नहीं हो सकता, बस टीवी/मोबाइल स्क्रीन पर देखकर मुग्ध होता है। उसका एक हिस्सा तब भी मुग्ध था, अब भी मुग्ध है। वह इस पर विचार ही नहीं करना चाहता कि एक विचारधाराहीन आंदोलन, जिसके लगभग सभी मुख्य संचालक अन्ना आंदोलन से निकली पार्टी के हिस्सा रहे हैं, किस तरह का आंदोलन खड़ा करेंगे! यह कोई तीन घंटे की सुखांत फिल्म नहीं है। हमारे महान राष्ट्र के भविष्य से जुड़ा सवाल है। इसमें मंच के नीचे खड़े युवा कोई एक्टर नहीं हैं, जीते-जागते इंसान हैं। हमने देखा है पिछले आंदोलन में नौकरियाँ छोड़कर शामिल हुए लोगों का हश्र। हमने देखा है एक आंदोलनकारी कवि को राज्यसभा न मिलने पर भक्ति प्रवचनकर्ता बन सत्ता के क़रीब जाते। हमने देखा है कांग्रेस के अंत की कामना से कांग्रेस के क़रीब जाते उसी आंदोलन के एक नेता को। हम नहीं चाहते कि यह पीढ़ी भी अपने सपनों की क़ब्र पर ऐसे लोगों के महल बनते देख पछताए। हमने इतना कुछ देखा है कि सड़क पर नारेबाज़ी देखकर उछलने की जगह रुककर सोचना सीख लिया है। जिस दौर में ज़रा सा विरोध बर्दाश्त नहीं करती सरकार, उसमें एक कथित आंदोलन के नेताओं को मिली सुरक्षा और सुविधा हमें सशंकित करती है। संख्या बड़ी बात नहीं है, लेकिन बताती है कि सोशल मीडिया और ज़मीन में कितनी दूरी है। आखिर उस कथित आंदोलन के नेता भी तो तिरछे कैमरे की तस्वीरों से 'संख्या' का ही दावा कर रहे हैं। देश के भीतर कोई मानीखेज आंदोलन एक लंबी लोकतांत्रिक और वैचारिक लड़ाई से सत्ता परिवर्तन का ही हो सकता है। अभी इतना ही। आपकी असहमति का स्वागत, लेकिन 'ले दे के अपने पास फ़क़त एक नज़र तो है, क्यों देखें ज़िंदगी को किसी की नज़र से हम'

India is already building one in Kerala, which is on the mainland. What it actually is: 1.5 crore trees felled. Coral reefs erased from official maps. Soldiers and tribals displaced - so one businessman can build hotels and casinos on India’s most irreplaceable ecological land. Every young Indian I have spoken to understands this. You know that no amount of profit is worth destroying what can never be recovered. I stand for ecologically balanced development. Just thinking aloud. No claims made. This is a Time Magazine Cover from 2011. I reposted @RahulSeeker's tweet yesterday. I have not been able to stop thinking about this cover. 15 years ago, the world was watching two countries and genuinely could not decide which one would lead the future. One of them does now. The other has spent the last decade and a half fighting over whose god is bigger. I am writing this as a common citizen who grew up in this country, who continues to believe in what it is capable of, and who finds it genuinely dificult to explain the drastic economic downturn in these past years through poor governance alone. India in 2011 was a country that had grown at consistently high rates for two decades, had a young demographic profile, and was positioned as a genuine superpower in the making. We were leading the IT revolution at a time when the world had just figured out that technology was the new currency of power. An Indian spotted abroad was asked one common question: "Do you work in IT?" It wasn't a stereotype so much as a signal. The world had noticed. It had clocked which direction we were moving in, and it had started to take us seriously. We weren't just a large country anymore. We were a country with momentum. And momentum, in geopolitics, is the most threatening thing of all. And then there was the one thing that makes powerful nations genuinely nervous. India is an independent nuclear power. Not a dependent state. Not a country whose arsenal exists because someone else permitted it. Ours. On our terms. Answering to nobody. A large, young, fast-growing, technologically ambitious, independently nuclear nation with a democratic mandate and a civilisational confidence. That is not a country you want going fully unchecked. Putting on my tin foil hat, here is the thought I cannot entirely shake: that what has happened to India over the last many years is not simply the consequence of bad governance, corruption, or misfortune. (That of course, is a very real issue laughing in our faces every single day) That some portion of it has been engineered, or at minimum exploited, by actors with a strategic interest in ensuring that India never becomes what it was projected to become. There are powers that have done this before. They don't need to invade a country. They just need to find a wound in it and not let it heal - through tools of debt, dependency, tariffs, and narratives shaped by controlled media or manipulated social media algorithms. And then stay out of the way while it consumes itself. "Just keep the wound open", as they say. Mismanagement of a population's growth trajectory, and its basic needs which is this consistent and directional, feels almost scripted. Let me also say - the fractures in Indian society are not new. Religious tension, caste hierarchy, linguistic division: these have existed for centuries. No government manufactured them from scratch. A country whose population has been allowed to be preoccupied with questions of communal identity, whose minorities are economically anxious and politically marginalised, and whose civil society is increasingly reluctant to speak plainly, is a country whose productive capacity is diminished. A nation fighting itself cannot look outward with coherence. They couldn't tame the dragon. So they slowly fed the elephant poisoned food. Enough to keep it from breaking its own shackles. Enough for it to be grateful to be fed. The elephant didn't die. That was never the plan. A dead elephant attracts attention. It is still standing - tall above others, swaying, looking busy, occasionally making noise, hoping to get better, some day. Someone needed only one new superpower to emerge. Not two. Someone did not want a second China. And someone got exactly what they needed.
