A huge thank you to Mark Pires and Lara Ceccarelli P’27, owners of BeatSeat, for gifting one of their unique instruments to our music department! Mark and Lara visited campus to lead an interactive workshop with our Percussion Ensemble class, demonstrating the power of their patented "drum kit in a box." Hand-built in Fairfield, the BeatSeat allows a performer to deliver the full sound of a kick and snare from a single seated position. #ICYMI: Last month, we were honored to celebrate a true Prep legend, Mr. Bob Bernier! After 38 incredible years of service, Bob was recognized as our 2025 Ignatian Educator of the Year. From the hockey rink to the golf course, and from the Advancement office to his first love, the Latin classroom, Bob has been the embodiment of a “Man for Others.” As a teacher, coach, department chair, and Prep Dad, his 38-year career is synonymous with the leadership and brotherhood that define Fairfield Prep. While he has officially stepped into retirement, his impact on generations of Prep brothers will be felt for years to come. Salve, Magister!

This past Friday, the Latin Scholars came together for their annual Christmas Luncheon, honoring the 2025 Man of the Year Bill O’Brien ’64 and welcoming guest speaker Tom Shea ’73. For more than three decades, the Latin Scholars have supported Fairfield Prep, raising over $200k for Prep-related charities and scholarships through this annual event! #PrepBrotherhood

Last month, Prep students teamed up with the Bridgeport YMCA to distribute coats generously donated by @FreeCountryltd to residents of the Harrison House Apartments. This marked Prep’s 4th annual coat drive, providing around 250 coats this year and more than 1,000 coats to the community over the past four years, living out our Jesuit mission through service to others! Ben Stokes ’23 excels on the national stage, capturing the National Collegiate Championship in Mountain Biking this past October! Now a junior at the Colorado School of Mines studying Mechanical Engineering, Ben represented the university during a standout weekend for Mines, which also claimed the Team Relay title and secured the overall Team National Championship. In recent years, Ben has spent his summers road racing across Europe with the Kelly Benefits Team, gaining valuable experience at an elite level. This fall’s championship marks an especially meaningful milestone, an opportunity to compete and win a major title here at home. We’re proud to celebrate Ben’s continued dedication, talent, and commitment to excellence both in the classroom and on the bike! #AMDG

Fairfield Prep’s Irish Cultural Club brought the community together once again for its annual Trad for Trōcaire fundraiser! Trōcaire, Ireland’s leading international-aid organization, continues its mission of supporting some of the world’s most vulnerable communities, and this year’s event at the Gaelic American Club helped push that effort forward in a big way. More than $1,600 was raised through an afternoon of traditional Irish music and shared readings from classic Irish poets. A huge thank-you goes out to the Prep student volunteers who made it all happen! The Prep Players invite you to this fall’s production of A Monster Calls! Adapted from Patrick Ness’ novel, the play follows thirteen-year-old Conor as he tries to make sense of his mother’s illness, a shifting home life, and the growing distance at school. One night, just past midnight, a monster appears at his window with stories of its own, and pushes Conor to face the truth he’s been avoiding. Join us in the Black Box Theatre at the Quick Center for the Arts on November 20, 21, and 22 at 7pm. Seating is limited, so we recommend reserving tickets in advance by calling the box office at 203-254-4010, Monday through Friday, 10 am. to 5 pm.

Congratulations to Fairfield Prep's Robby Rosati (University of Maryland commit) for winning the New England Boys Golf Championship held Sunday at the Mohegan Sun Golf Club!
