My hot take on SydCarmy is: I can accept if they don’t end up together. What I cannot accept, however, is Carmy ending up with Claire, and that a non-romantic interpretation of SydCarmy is the only way to interpret how their relationship was written.

Thoughts on the happenings of the show aside, I’m really happy with what #NotSuitableForWork is doing in terms of representing the career-oriented side of Gen Z. Rarely is there media about this, and I appreciate how the characters have jobs that are pretty realistic.

When people watch older media, it pisses me off when viewers immediately criticize plot and characterization without understanding or at least acknowledging the standards, politics, and climate of when the media was set in or made. Context always matters.

I’ve been a huge fan of Taylor Swift since I was a child, and I love Olivia Rodrigo. Trust me when I say that The Life of a Showgirl is objectively not a good album. The only thing it does/did well are charts, which is not exactly an organic metric anymore.
