Thinking back to when I'd go pick my friend up on Saturday to go to town... His Dad would give us a couple of paper grocery bags... "Just in case you boys can't find a pretty one"

The boys unrolled the shades yesterday.... Cattle were very grateful today. 90° the last time I saw these temps this early was 1980 and that didn't end well.

Join us this Wednesday at Ogallala Livestock Auction (1:00 mountain start) for a rare opportunity to add high-quality, forage-developed females to your herd. We're offering sound lots with proven maternal strength: think excellent udders, feet, and longevity on grass. I expect several lots to come within $200–400 of a short-term shelly bred cow, delivering real long-term value for grazers.

Tomorrow is this gentleman's 92 birthday. Today like every Friday he starts the sale at Ft Scott Livestock Market by selling cows for a few hours. I've been fortunate enough to work with and for him for over 30 years. Not a finer man will you meet A true family business.
