Control Resonant gave me the same level of rush and power fantasy that I would get back in the day while playing Prototype and I didn't realize how much I missed video games that don't shy away from giving you really cool over the top powers and abilities.

Bloober confirms why they chose to publish a Saw prequel rather than have it set in present day. - James Wan is consulting on the game - The story is set a century before Jigsaw - The events of the game inspired Jigsaw - This is cannon to the Jigsaw universe When asked why not just have jigsaw be the playable killer, they said that having this game be a prequel helped the devs have more freedom with not just gameplay but also the story, as a game set in the present day would affect the lore of the movies too much.

Saw Genesis aims to differentiate itself from competing games like Dead by Daylight by adding 3 mechanics unique to this game 1. Rehabilitation traps: the judge (killer) can knock out the accused (victims) and bring them to a rehabilitation traps where the accused is given two options. Wait for one of his friends to come save him, or leave the trap immediately at the cost of having to cut one of their own limbs, affecting their health bar and gameplay. 2. The judge can actually be harmed by the accused. This means that he needs play the role of a jigsaw mastermind and plan around what the accused are doing by placing traps and using tools such as gas grenades 3. The judge has access to a second level above the main layout of each match where he can watch the accused and control his traps from above. Only the judge can enter this secret top floor.

The fact that people are writing it off just for the grappling hook alone just frustrates me so much Racing game "Fans" want everything to be the same so much it just shows why the genre has been stagnant for ages. Prove them wrong Maverick. Rooting for you!

Clutch will be using UE5 with a custom physics engine for aspects such as: - Tire temperature - grip levels - suspension - etc. From what I've seen the game is very gorgeous and didn't seem that have that UE5 stutter that I've seen in other open world unreal engine games

Ex-Forza Horizon devs are making an open world racing game called Clutch that feels like Need for Speed and Forza collided into one game - 150 customizable cars - Installable car gadgets - Crime and Police chases - Open world in South of France - Near 1:1 recreation of Monaco - Singleplayer/COOP Story Campaign - PvPvE multiplayer mode - 16 player online sessions - Jane Parry - Walkable car meets and showrooms I got a hands off demo at SGF and it was one of the 3 games that impressed me most out of the 20 or so games that I saw during that weekend.

Cars in Clutch can have a harpoon gadget that you can shoot to: - Make sharp turns - Flip over police cars - Hang onto a helicopter (story mission) The harpoon is mostly free aimed and physics based unless prompted otherwise so devs said it's up to the players to get creative and find different ways of using it

Clutch's open world will be set in the south of France and will have a near 1:1 recreation of Monaco Open world activities will be forza-like such as: - Speed traps - Stunt jumps - Collectibles - etc. There also seem to be very little limitation on where you go, so there are tons of off roading opportunities outside of Monaco

Open world racing game Clutch will have multiple multiplayer modes - 2 player coop story campaign - PvPvE cops and robbers mode - 16 player races/sessions The PvPvE mode was described as a game mode where players are competing against each other to steal things around the map all while cops will be chasing them. As you progress in this game mode, you will unlock better cars to run away from cops.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis seems to have all the Tomb Raider things you'd want - Dual pistols - Dinosaurs - Puzzle sections - Rewarding exploration - Survivor trilogy pickaxe - Rope swinging The demo I played started with a tomb raiding puzzle section where you had to explore a contained area and find use your scanner to find 3 different cogs that you had to put together using your tools, with some light climbing and swimming sections that helped you get to hard to reach areas. The game also has lots of optional collectibles to find similar to the survivor trilogy, with each of them either giving you a skill point or a little bit of backstory about the country and the tomb that you are exploring. The combat was not too complicated and unlike Survivor's cover based shooting, you instead had to keep shooting at two dinosaurs with your dual pistols and use the dodge to avoid their attacks. She also does cool ass flips when you dodge and I really liked that. I'm very glad it was delayed too because I think with some more polishing this could be a pretty solid remake for Tomb Raider.

Fable NPC system is so sophisticated the devs are calling it a "life simulator" You build reputation through your actions in the game, then each NPC has a different opinion of you based on your reputation. You might have to become a rich business owner to impress and date one of the NPCs in the game, but another NPC will hate you for being so rich. As a consequence, that NPC could increase the prices on their merchandise when you visit their store. Even small actions such as giving money to the homeless or evicting people out of their houses will impact your reputation, and this can be done at a very large scale, because you could: - Buy every home in the world of Fable - Evict everyone out of their homes - Have every NPC now live on the street Possibilities are quite literally endless here
