A collector pulled a Grail this morning, posted it, and wrote that it was tied to a match he'd watched as a kid with his father.
I've read that message over ten times now.
And that's because this is the entire reason Fancraze exists: the moment a fan finally gets to own a piece of the sport that shaped some part of who they are.
For a hundred years, sports fans did this without thinking about it:
- Ticket stubs
- Trading card packs
- Signed photos on the wall
These things were proof that you were there, and they made you feel like you're part of something larger than life.
Then everything was digitized, and somewhere along the way, all you could do was watch the sport you loved.
You streamed the greatest moments of your life and owned none of them.
Cricket, the second biggest sport on earth, never even had a proper trading-card era. Two and a half billion people, two centuries of history, and almost nothing a fan could collect and cherish.
That's the gap we've spent four years building for.
The origins reveal went live today, and watching people pull their first Grails tied to the matches and players they grew up swooning over makes it all worth it for us back at FC HQ.
Onwards and upwards.
In case you missed it: the Origins Grails have been revealed!
