Found in Florida! So one of the owners of a hotel, Judi was walking on the beach this morning cleaning up the junk that washed into shore and finds a bottle with a message in it. There is also some sand and 2 one dollar bills. Once we get it open and read the notes we find out that it is in fact NOT sand. It is the ashes of this woman's husband of 70 years named Gordon. She writes that He loved to travel so she sent him traveling in a bottle with a note and money for someone to call home and tell her where he landed. He started at Big Pine Key in March of 2012 and then went to Islamorada where someone found him. ❤ They added a note and sent him traveling again and he landed on our beach in Key Colony. Judi called the wife in Tennessee who was excited to know of Gordon's travels! Judi added her note, we put him in a rum bottle (you know added a little fun to his trip) with the three notes. We added another dollar in case Gordon travels far and a long distance call is needed. We will be having a memorial service or celebration of his life on our beach later today before sending him on his way again." 🥰🥰😋😋 Credit: Allex1337

"This woman, who is blind, got on the express 2 train going downtown. She seemed nervous and a little sad as she found her seat. Then, the conductor opened the door and started talking to her. He knew her name and greeted her warmly! She said she was so happy to hear him because a different person had been driving the train recently. They talked about baseball, how she was doing, and what she planned to do that day. After their chat, she looked so much happier. Sometimes, a little kindness is all it takes to change someone’s day. He didn’t have to say hello or even open the door, but he did. I took this picture of their conversation because I was so touched by the conductor. Hats off to you, sir, you made my day better too!" Flight attendant Calloway was working her usual route when she noticed a nervous dog named Ranger traveling with a firefighter. Ranger, a German Shepherd mix covered in old scars, became restless as turbulence shook the plane. While most passengers ignored it, a businessman nearby began making rude comments about the frightened dog. The firefighter remained calm and gently comforted Ranger before sharing a story that would leave the entire cabin silent. A few days earlier, Ranger had been trapped in a devastating wildfire. A young firefighter named Mason risked everything to save him. Mason fought bravely to bring Ranger to safety, but he never made it back. The scars on Ranger’s body were reminders of that terrible day, and his nervous behavior was a result of the trauma he had endured. The firefighter explained that he was taking Ranger to Mason’s mother because Ranger was one of the last living reminders of her son’s courage, compassion, and sacrifice. The atmosphere on the plane changed instantly. Passengers who had barely noticed Ranger before now listened with tears in their eyes. When the plane landed, everyone quietly stepped aside and allowed Ranger to leave first as a sign of respect. Waiting at the airport was an elderly woman. The moment Ranger saw her, he ran straight into her arms. She hugged him tightly, overcome with emotion, as if a piece of her son had finally come home. For everyone who witnessed it, it was a moment they would never forget a powerful reminder that kindness, loyalty, and sacrifice leave a mark that time can never erase.

Kevan and his team were called to an apartment fire that spread quickly. The firefighters went inside the building to search for any people who might be trapped, including children and adults. “I was searching, searching, searching... I saw a crib and thought the worst, because little kids hide. Adults would try to get out, but kids might hide in a closet if they’re scared, especially if they’re separated from their parents. You have to check everywhere,” said Kevan. Once everyone was found, Kevan was told it was safe to rest. While he was relaxing, he saw a woman running toward the burned apartment, holding her baby in her arms. Kevan thought, “Great, she’s safe. Everything’s ok now, and I can take a break.” Kevan offered to watch the little girl while her mom looked for anything they could save from the apartment. The toddler seemed completely happy, even after the big fire. In a sweet moment, the little girl noticed how hard Kevan had worked and offered him her water bottle. This touching moment was shared on Facebook with the caption: “Every day may not be good, but there’s something good in every day.” Credit: Oakland Firefighters Local 55 Source: Nirfox

Cyrus Saves His Mom’s Life Author: American Red Cross "16-year-old Cyrus Iarrobino used just shoelaces and plywood to save his mom’s life. One morning, as Cyrus was heading out the door for school, his mom, Kristen, slipped on the driveway, dropped her mug, and fell. Sadly, her wrist landed on broken glass, causing her to bleed heavily. Kristen quickly told Cyrus to call 911. While he was talking to the dispatcher, the dispatcher told him to find something to make a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. Cyrus didn’t waste any time. He tore the shoelaces off his new shoes and, with help from the dispatcher, made a makeshift tourniquet until the paramedics arrived. Kristen needed two surgeries to treat her injury, but thanks to Cyrus’ quick thinking and brave actions, he helped save her life. For this, the Red Cross awarded him the Lifesaving Award and the Certificate of Extraordinary Personal Action. Great job, Cyrus!" Source: American Red Cross

Today I had one of the hardest experiences with my client who I am keeping anonymous, I had a 16-year-old girl come in who has been dealing with severe depression for a few years now. She got to the point where she felt so down and so worthless she couldn't even brush her hair, she told me she only got up to use the restroom. She starts back at school in a few weeks but she has her school pictures today. When she walked in she told us, 'Just cut it all off, I can't deal with the pain of combing it out.' She called herself worthless for it. It honestly broke my heart and we tried everything we could to keep this child's hair for her! At the end of the day I want this to be a lesson to people. MENTAL HEALTH is a thing, it effects people all around the world and of all ages! PARENTS take it seriously, don't just push your kids off and tell them to get over something they legitimately can't. A CHILD should NEVER feel so worthless to not even want to brush their hair. After being here 8 hours yesterday and 5 hours today we finally made this beautiful girl smile and feel like she IS worth something! Her last words to me were: 'I will actually smile for my school pictures today, you made me feel like me again.' " ❤️ Credit: Kayley Olsson

Written by Constance Hall A couple of weeks ago a child therapist that I know looked at my kids and said, "You're such a good mom". Feeling like a total fraud l blurted, "I don't feel like a good mom. The kids are driving me so crazy, I'm losing my temper and falling asleep at night wondering where I'm going to get the patience for another day". To which she responded with a statement that I haven't been able to forget, "Babies cry, it's how they communicate. Toddlers scream, children whinge and teenagers complain. Then moms say the words 'for f#$& sake under their breath before ever responding. It's how we communicate. But guess what Con? It's better than silence. A house full of screaming kids and fighting teenagers and a parent who's being thrown every question and request is a healthy one to me. It's the silent children, the scared toddlers, the teenagers that don't come home and the parents who aren't in communication with their children that I worry about. And kids don't drive you crazy, you were crazy already. That's why you had them." And just like that, I felt like a good parent again. Deep breaths, you're doing a good job. ❤️

😂😂😂😂A judge was interviewing a woman regarding her pending divorce, and asked, "What are the grounds for your divorce?" She replied, "About four acres and a nice little home in the middle of the property with a stream running by." "No," he said, "I mean what is the foundation of this case?" "It is made of concrete, brick and mortar," she responded. "I mean," he continued, "What are your relations like?" "I have an aunt and uncle living here in town, and so do my husband's parents." He said, "Do you have a real grudge?" "No," she replied, "We have a two-car carport and have never really needed one." "Please," he tried again, "is there any infidelity in your marriage?" "Yes, both my son and daughter have stereo sets. We don't necessarily like the music, but the answer to your questions is yes." "Ma'am, does your husband ever beat you up?" "Yes," she responded, "about twice a week he gets up earlier than I do." Finally, in frustration, the judge asked, "Lady, why do you want a divorce?" "Oh, I don't want a divorce," she replied. "I've never wanted a divorce. My husband does. He said he can't communicate with me!"

In 2010, my best friend left me and moved to a new city. We were in 9th grade, and her parents were going through a divorce, so they decided to live in separate homes. I remember talking to her one morning about how her family was doing, just a normal conversation. Then, the bell rang, and we all went to our classes. About half an hour later, the teacher heard a knock on the door, and I heard some whispers outside. I was called out of class and went to the hallway. My best friend was standing there with tears in her eyes, telling me she was leaving and moving away. I was so shocked, and I asked her when she was leaving. She said, "Right now." She left school immediately, and the next day, she moved to her new city. I was devastated and went back to class crying. It was so embarrassing. Our friendship started to fade. She made new friends in her new school, and I made mine. I still considered her my best friend, but being so far apart made it hard to stay close. Eventually, we lost touch. In January this year, I found myself thinking about her a lot. We hadn’t talked in years, and she didn’t have Facebook. I decided to search for her mom’s name and, luckily, found her. I messaged her, and she was really happy to hear from me. She gave me my friend's number, and I texted her right away. We spent hours catching up, and now she calls almost every day. It’s amazing to have my friend back! But then, the calls stopped for two weeks. I didn’t want to bother her, but I sent a text asking if everything was okay. That’s when I got the heartbreaking news: "My mother was found dead in her bed." She was only 49 and passed away from a heart attack. Thankfully, we’ve been able to reconnect, and we still laugh at the same things we did when we were younger. I recently sent her an old picture and said, “Do you remember this? We were 16!” The photo is pretty damaged now since I’ve moved three times since then, but it’s still priceless to me.

Today at Walmart, an elderly man came up to me and asked, “Does your phone take pictures?” I said, “Yes, it does,” not really understanding why he was asking. He then said, “Let me see your phone.” I handed it to him, and he said, “Now let me take a picture of this moment.” I was a bit surprised but agreed, even though I don't like pictures of myself. My daughter Aubrey was shy and didn’t want a picture, but I decided to give it a try. He took a picture of me and my daughter in Walmart, even though she wasn’t smiling. Afterward, I thanked him and said, “Nobody ever takes pictures of me with my kids.” He smiled and said, “I knew that, because you’re the mom.” He added, “Time goes by so fast. These are the best moments of your life.” He told me he was 85 years old and would do anything to have more moments like that, taking his kids on shopping trips. I was speechless. A complete stranger stopping to care meant so much to me as a mom. It’s so rare to get pictures with your kids. His kindness really touched my heart and reminded me to appreciate every moment. What a beautiful soul he has! Credit: Lindsey Handlow (Respect 🫡)

Meet Officer Nuttall from the Bradenton Police Department. Recently, he came across a homeless family on the streets, where he met a deeply distressed mother who was crying due to their lack of shelter and a dog to care for. At the same time, her young son was sobbing from hunger. In an inspiring display of humanity, Officer Nuttall took immediate action, treating the family to a delicious pizza meal. He set up arrangements with the Humane Society to care for their dog for the night and secured a hotel room for them as well. To ensure their well-being continued, he approached us at the Salvation Army for assistance in finding them a place to stay once their hotel occupancy ended in the morning. We are committed to helping them. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Officer Nuttall for his exceptional kindness. Please share this to shed light on this incredible act of human kindness and to recognize the valuable work this officer does!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Gratitude is alchemy. It changes powerlessness, fear, and resentment into grace, determination, and unrelenting badassery."

Yesterday, its owner had choked it by the neck and was not allowing it to come home. A boy from that house secretly brought it to us and left it with nothing—neither food nor a blanket, just like that. One day, I asked that boy about the cat. He told me that when his father was bringing this cat home, there was an accident, and his leg got broken; then he lost his job. He keeps blaming him for this incident or the cat. And today, that cat is with us. It has been with us for 3 years, bringing happiness into our lives.

I saw something at the airport today and wanted to share it with you. A young military man named Michael (his full name was on his backpack) was waiting to board his plane. A random man walked up to him, thanked him for his service, and asked if he could pray for his safety. I started crying just watching this sweet moment unfold on my 16-hour flight across the country. It was such a beautiful thing to see. Americans never stop amazing me. I really hope this picture reaches the man in the uniform so he can see how many people are praying for him and wishing him safe travels." Credit: Sunny Sweeney

A kindergartener at Simonds was feeling really down when she got to school one morning, so her teacher asked her what was bothering her. She explained that she had lost a gem on the bus, but she had already told her bus driver, Mr. Hill, about it. About 20 minutes later, a para came into the classroom with the gem, saying that Mr. Hill had searched the bus and brought it right in when he found it. It really meant a lot that Mr. Hill went above and beyond for her. Thanks a bunch, Mr. Hill, for being a hero! Credit Goes To The Respective Owner

Addie is nine years old and has learned to handle her dad being away because he’s in the military. But today, I saw her heart break as every cheer squad member got to perform with their dad there, and she didn’t. It was one of the hardest things to see. Then, out of nowhere, this incredible young man from the other team—not even from St. John Bosco—climbed the fence and lifted Addie onto his shoulders when he saw her crying and feeling alone. I couldn’t help but cry too as I watched this happen. Even though he had never met Addie before, he went out of his way to make sure she felt special and loved. Addie told me, “I just felt like somebody saved me.” Knowing that her dad is serving in the military made it a little easier for her. We are so thankful for this young man’s kindness. It shows how much good people are out there, and we really appreciate what you did for our daughter.

The person in this picture is one of the kindest strangers I’ve ever met. Just last week, I was scared and alone on the side of the road, holding my two-year-old daughter, Quinn, as she had a febrile seizure. Mark stopped and helped me right away. He took us to a nearby parking lot, gave me water, and stayed with me until I felt better while we waited for Quinn to wake up. Then, he helped us get to the hospital. Thankfully, Quinn is doing better now (this was her fourth seizure), and my husband is now not allowed to leave town! By the way, Mark is also an amazing pizza maker! If you’re in the Naples, FL area, please support Mark and his wife at Palumbo’s Pizzeria. Credit: Angi Burk Pietzak

This is a keeper 😂 It happened at a New York Airport. This is hilarious. I wish I had the guts of this girl. An award should go to the United Airlines gate agent in New York for being smart and funny, while making her point, when confronted with a passenger who probably deserved to fly as cargo. For all of you out there who have had to deal with an irate customer, this one is for you. A crowded United Airlines flight was canceled. A single agent was re-booking a long line of inconvenienced travelers. Suddenly, an angry passenger pushed his way to the desk. He slapped his ticket on the counter and said, "I HAVE to be on this flight and it has to be FIRST CLASS." The agent replied, "I'm sorry, sir. I'll be happy to try to help you, but I've got to help these folks first; and then I'm sure we'll be able to work something out." The passenger was unimpressed. He asked loudly, so that the passengers behind him could hear, "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO I AM?" Without hesitating, the agent smiled and grabbed her public address microphone. "May I have your attention, please?", she began, her voice heard clearly throughout the terminal. "We have a passenger here at Gate 14 WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHO HE IS. If anyone can help him with his identity, please come to Gate 14". With the folks behind him in line laughing hysterically, the man glared at the United Airlines agent, gritted his teeth, and said, "F*** You!" Without flinching, she smiled and said, "I'm sorry sir, you'll have to get in line for that, too." Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.

"I wanted to share something I witnessed last night from one of your school resource officers, Dep. Terry Gregg. He is actually the officer at my daughter's school, Boones Creek, and she as well as all of the other kids absolutely adore him. But, last night, we went to the homecoming at Ridgeview. He was there. During the ceremony, there were two little kids that were special needs in the ceremony. The little girl walked out to the middle of the court and got really scared and nervous so she ran over to her family that was sitting off to the side. Dep. Gregg, stopped what he was doing and went over to try to make her smile. Next thing, you see was him walking her to the front with her "prince". She stood there and just hugged on to Terry. And, he just kneeled there, patting her back. Making her feel safe and making sure she didn't miss her special night. I just thought maybe you would like to see some of the good that your guys are doing out there". Source: Washington County TN Sheriff's Office

“That’s more than just wiping a chin.” “It’s kindness within minutes of meeting a child. Here’s what happened… Every year, a week before their first football game, Iowa State hosts Victory Day. It’s a special day for kids with special needs to spend time with the team, go into the locker room, and play on the field. They get to wear helmets, run out of the tunnel, and score a touchdown. But the big football players, who are focused on their season? They might love it even more. This picture proves it. Mandy Cosper shared this story with me: ‘Hi! I saw you at ISU Victory Day and wanted to send you a picture of my son with football player Funto Akinshilo. Colt has a neurological disorder that makes him drool a lot. I was about to take a picture of them together when Funto stopped me. He noticed Colt had drool on his chin, so he wiped it away first. It was one of the sweetest moments I’ve ever seen.’ Kindness like this is what really makes a difference.”
