Wonderful essay written by @j_waligorski. Goes into hybrid embodiment which is imo the proper way embodiment of Social VR avatars can be understood. VR has always been a mixed reality, in a phenomenological sense.

interesting post with two perspectives in the replies. For the group in the "text me back in max 12 hours" camp, text messaging is almost interactional while the other group has a more asynchronous view of texting. Digital Divide in full affect 💢
I hate fake "busy" people
nobody is working 12 hour shifts without checking their messages.
I have friends who make 50k a day, and if I send them a text they respond in less than 5 mins
if you’re taking more then 12hrs to respond i’m not messaging u again
