The top anti-Israel hashtag on TikTok is #freepalestine, and the top pro-Israel hashtag is #standwithisrael.

Seems very plausible that this is a major driver of the Harvard Caps Harris poll result that showed 51% of 18-24 year olds believe Hamas's massacre of 1200 Israeli civilians could be justified by the grievances of the Palestinians.

Within this thread the author references nuclear as an analogy, but does so the wrong way. In the US if you want to do anything with Nuclear it goes through the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). We emphatically need an AI Regulatory Commission!

In the past I have given credit where it was due to Eliezer Yudkowsky for not explicitly advocating violent solutions to the problems with AI development that by his own admission only he and a few other (mostly nontechnical) people see on the horizon

It's obvious to many besides just @ESYudkowsky how many different dangers AI presents. Even if it's just the human misuse of AI, let along AGI taking on a life of it's own. We are putting society at risk by not agreeing to an AIRC right away.
