Summary:
The event will focus on the work being done by Gaelic Heritage and Wellbeing groups, including presentations and discussions around community-led initiatives. It features a keynote by Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes, with an introduction by MSP Alasdair Allan, and various partnership sessions and forums discussing collaboration between communities and researchers.
There will also be presentations from groups working in Gaelic culture, heritage, and wellbeing, followed by a forum with funders to discuss future opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity to explore how place, culture, and language contribute to wellbeing in North Uist.
Key Sessions Include:
Gaelic walks, mapping, and digital walks
Partnership and collaboration in Gaelic heritage
Communities co-creating with researchers
Discussions with funders such as Heritage Environment Scotland
