One city I loved but to which I haven't yet returned is Leipzig. Here's the view from Panorama Tower on a hazy September morning.

Been reading about Berlin lately which inevitably had me revisiting my most recent trip. Here's the Reichstag Dome, the Brandenburg Gate, the Sony Centre and Hackescher Markt.

Have the dolphins been seen at Greyhope Bay lately or am I better looking for otters along the River Don?

Can’t believe I didn’t get a single train crossing the bridge.

And a few from ground level. The sky looked a lot pinker to the naked eye.

Sometimes I think my drone is already showing its age. But I couldn’t really ask for more than this.

OK, let's try this again. I've now flown my drone over ALL of Scotland's eight cities. Often, there's been a specific scene I've wanted to capture - away from the hills, viaducts, tall buildings and other vantage points I'd used previously.

It may be in the Highlands but Inverness is one of Scotland's flattest cities, lacking the hills of Edinburgh, Dundee and Stirling, the sunken gardens of Aberdeen and Dunfermline, and the tall buildings of Glasgow. With a drone, I wanted to capture the hills beyond it.

I finally maxed out my first memory card in Inverness, after a year and a half of use, and while it may already be showing its age I’m still excited to see what I can do with it next. There are plenty of towns and landscapes I’d still like to see from the air.
