I was going to make a short post on LinkedIn, but it became too long, so I had to convert it to an article. I could (probably should have) posted it on my own site, but whatever - linkedin.com/pulse/wordpress…

WP Beacon tracks every plugin on wordpress dot org — its authors, committers, and releases — to flag ownership transfers, dormant-then-activated takeovers, and release patterns that match known attacks. wpbeacon.io/ by @austinginder

A week into my new job. Learning lots. Agency work is not simple, easy, or straightforward. That's for sure! It can be exciting though.

Competing on lowest price for hosting is a poor business model. Users want a great experience and service that reduces their concerns, not more management. #WebHosting #BusinessStrategy

Some customers can't use AI due to regulations or security. That's why offering a choice of AI models (like Claude or ChatGPT) is key. It's not one-size-fits-all; it's about empowering users with options. #AI #Tech #WebHosting

Connecting your control panel to AI requires careful permission management. Customers can and should create limitations to prevent accidental deletions, like your website from Pressable. Human support is there to help restore if mistakes happen. #AI #WebHosting

Imagine querying your AI about client sites, asking for PHP version reports or diagnosing website slowdowns. The future is AI agents taking actions on your behalf, lowering barriers and speeding up tasks for agencies managing multiple sites. #AI #Tech #AgencyLife

Do some people believe that anything created with AI is AI slop? I thought that term was being reserved for low effort AI creations... Am I wrong?

Wellp, we used up our last lifeline today. After this, if I don't find stable employment soon, we'll likely lose the house, or I'll need to file for bankruptcy. So if you have any WordPress work, see any gigs I might be good for, inside or OUTSIDE of WordPress, send em my way

One thing I saw at DrupalCon was the Context Control Center for Drupal, and I thought: "WordPress might need something like that" I worked with Claude Code and OpenAI Codex to develop a proof of concept - github.com/mperalty/ai-cx <- This plugin allows creating a context library

Here's a quick screencast of it in use (no audio, 2:21) - youtu.be/UDqHlK8SKE0 - It shows how you can have context, and then have a plugin that auto-selects context as part of its AI efforts.

Here is a simple demo plugin of it in use - github.com/mperalty/ai-cx-bl… It basically uses WordPress 7.0's AI connector, the AI CX plugin and this plugin to create a blog post. You set the topic and select different values > it checks for relevant context and puts it together

peralty.com/2026/03/29/from-… <- Blog post about using AI to create a WordPress plugin to address a potential need that a Drupal/WordPress agency leader wished existed. Or at least my interpretation of what they wish existed...

I don't know if there are many people that might need this, but when I was at DrupalCon, it was mentioned that it would be nice if there was a config file for managing some governance pieces of WordPress - github.com/mperalty/wpgov #wordpress
