I didnโ€™t start with a MacBook and a roadmap. I started with drive, a borrowed office laptop, and a long list of things I thought might work. My journey started @womenindefi_org (WID) where I got my first real exposure to Blockchain and DeFi. I was learning , exploring and ๐Ÿ”ป

Payments in Africa shouldn't feel like a gamble. Wrong account. Failed transaction. "Try again later." @SliqPay is fixing that with one simple idea ๐Ÿ’ก One ID. Every Currency. #Pay #CryptoAfrica

An angle we've all been ignoring but vital. The issue isn't who's writing codes or not. It's who's solving problems. AI shouldn't be a threat. It's a tool.
Replying to @sflorimm
Why would that be a big deal? My job has never been to write code it's been to solve problems.

Never share .env files. Inject secrets at runtime via a proper secrets manager (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Doppler, etc.).

We use WhatsApp messages ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
how do teams actually share .env variables securely because the options I see are - Slack DM (terrible) - email (worse) - shared Notion doc (somehow even worse) - 1Password or similar - something I'm missing

The lack of concern when there's insecurity crisis in the North, compared to reactions when it happens in other regions, is truly sickening.

The best startups arenโ€™t built around hype. theyโ€™re built around pain points. Solutions donโ€™t appear out of thin air. The best projects are built because something is broken, inefficient, expensive, slow, or simply impossible with existing systems. This Project is part of the One-stop ecosystems, built to simplify an entire industry by bringing multiple solutions under one roof. Today on the Building on Avalanche (BO๐Ÿ”บ) series, weโ€™re spotlighting a project doing exactly that on @avax: This is the kind of builder energy BOA is about!

@SliqPay Managing money across borders shouldn't feel like rocket science. Yet, payments in Africa are still plagued by too many fragmented apps and failed transactions. Enter @SliqPay โ€” the fail-safe payment rail designed to change the game. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’ธ

Normally, that means: => opening another app, => converting funds manually, => sending money around, => waiting for settlement, => then finally paying for DSTV. SliqPay skips all of that. You tap โ€œ๐๐š๐ฒ.โ€ . Your cable TV gets renewed, Sliq Payโ€ฆ.. Thatโ€™s the difference between a payment app and a money infrastructure layer.

It's week 7, and I built a working To-Do List app ๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ”ฅ! Using HTML, CSS & JavaScript to add / delete tasks, DOM manipulation, and basic state handling! Small project, real frontend progress ๐Ÿš€! Thank you, @womenindefi_org and @findy_dev โค๏ธโœจ๏ธ!

Our developers are working to give users a Sliq platform.๐Ÿซฐ This was bought directly using @avax , building on Avax is seamless! With SliqPay you would be able to make CableTv payments. Using any crypto of your choice. And other important payment bills. Waitlist is still open . ๐ŸซตSign up if you havenโ€™t .

Your money should work in any currency. People shouldnโ€™t be blocked from making payments because they donโ€™t hold the exact currency needed. Example: You need โ‚ฆ5,000 airtime Your NGN balance is empty But you have KES or USDT Instead of failing: SliqPay automatically converts whatโ€™s needed and completes the payment instantly.

A Nigerian in Ghana. A Kenyan freelancer paid in USDT. A remote worker holding USD. They still need to: โ–ช๏ธbuy airtime, โ–ช๏ธpay bills, โ–ช๏ธtop up utilities. SliqPay makes that seamless and easier for users๐Ÿซฐ

Most payment apps decline transactions. SliqPay checks your entire liquidity across currencies first. You shouldnโ€™t need to convert money manually before paying electricity bills. Imagine having: => 0 NGN => but enough KES or USDT balance Instead of declining your transaction, SliqPay automatically converts the equivalent value and completes the payment instantly. Thatโ€™s what borderless payments should feel like.

We were supposed to launch yesterday at 12PM, but during our final end-to-end test, we discovered some security loose ends. Because we consider the security of both our platform & users a top priority, we immediately carried out multiple security testings internally & externally

While some issues initially appeared fixed, further testing showed they werenโ€™t fully resolved. Rather than rush out a vulnerable product, we made the decision to delay launch until weโ€™re fully confident in the platformโ€™s stability and security.
