The Buffalo Stampede has arrived to Arkansas Baptist College. We are welcoming hundreds of students to campus this weekend. We are continuing the Buffalo Renaissance in honor of our ancestors who built Old Main in 1893.
Today, Old Main is the oldest building still standing in the state of Arkansas for educating African Americans.

Cason had a few bumps in the road on this six month META24 Educational journey. Nevertheless, tears filled my eyes today when walked down for prayer during alter call.
My challenge to him and each student is simple: As you re-enter society, the most important step you can make is to, "Seek Ye First The Kingdom Of God And Trust That All Else We Be Added".

We are in the midst of our post-game analysis of Cohort # 2 of the META24 Workforce Entrepreneurial Bootcamp. META24, DYS & ABC are in collaboration attempting to find best practices that will potentially disrupt the Pipeline to Prison.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) reported that upon release, over 80% of incarcerated Juveniles will re-offend within five years with an average adult prison sentence of 12-years.
One thing for sure, if we do nothing...nothing changes. I'm not sure if what we are doing will move the needle significantly; however, I'm loving the potential transformational impact that we have witnessed among the 20 participants thus far.
It is our goal to follow each student who participates in the META24 Bootcamp for the next five years so we can compare our success or lack of to the DOJ's data.
What we know is this: having the skills to secure and keep a good paying job with transitional support often decreases the recidivism rate expected by the DOJ.

So proud of Ivey. The last 18 months has not been an easy road for him; nevertheless, his desire to change and want better are why we are invested in his transformation.
META24 and ABC are giving Ivey Bootstraps to pull-up.
We still got a little ways to go...but we gonna fight🥊 for him. META24 and ABC will not give up on Ivey if he won't give up on himself.
