Don't get me wrong, I love interacting with humans, and I also love discussing contrary opinions. I am interested in empathy, finding solutions, and generally in looking forward, not backwards. Above all, I am not willing to tolerate useless hate and agitation, against anyone.

As part of my work, I still post to Twitter occasionally (on the work account), read replies and reply for customer support. Today I made the mistake to click on a trending topic, out of curiosity. That reassured me to privately stay away from that place as much as possible.

Exciting new feature of forthcoming Objective-C 3: complication blocks, as invented by @catlan@mastodon.social, and copy/pasted by @merrysuperstar@muenchen.social Example: - (void)refreshAuthTokenWithComplicationBlock:(void (^)(BOOL))block;

Hey @TwitterSupport, why do I get messages from your owner @elonmusk propagated into my Notifications? Despite me having expressed multiple times that I don't care about his wisdom. Do I need to accept this now, in order to use this service?

I love my AirPods Pro (2nd gen) and don’t even regret upgrading from version 1 (and not getting much for the previous pair on ebay). But in terms of Spatial Audio, they come nowhere close to my M1 MacBook Pro. Don’t judge the potential of Dolby Atmos / Spatial Audio before (1/2)

listening to music on a modern MacBook Pro. It’s really something else. Of course, as soon as I add speakers that can produce reasonable bass, such as a pair of HomePods, Dolby Atmos turns off. Technology is so much fun. (2/2)

If someone, preferably in the Munich area, wants to hop onto the forthcoming Gowalla app (gowalla.com), let me know. I have a few invites left. #gowalla

RT @dimillian@mastodon.social Remember, if ivory don't have TestFlight slots you can join icecubesapp public TestFlight beta instead. Because it's far less popular because redacted redacted redacted reasons, there is a lot of spots (8500 actually) left: (1/2)

Thinking back about tech purchases I made in 2022. Most rewarding was the VanMoof S3, a game changer for my personal mobility, despite design flaws and initial problems with the particular bike. I’m riding it at US setting (32km/h) – amazing! Makes cars so much less appealing.

Least exciting: iPhone 14 Pro Max. Still a good product, but too many trade-offs, in particular with the camera. Benefiting from the advances takes too much effort (shoot RAW, …) Always on display is somewhat cool, as is dynamic island. iPhone 13 Pro was a much clearer win IMHO.

My buddy @catlan was overwhelmed, having too many boring tasks for @kaleidoscopeapp on his list, so he implemented a little tool he’s been wanting to have. Would only take a few hours, he said. Great joke… Here’s a first version, upvote to cheer him up! producthunt.com/posts/gifboa…

Oh wow, that brings back fond memories of “the good old” mobile web. I used to be a heavy user back then, and I am actually looking forward to check out @gowalla again. cc @schlingel
Really cool seeing this back on my home screen.

Pardon my French, but it just needs to fucking work, without all those glaring bugs. I am very close to ditch it as I am fucking annoyed. I’m paying 30 € per month for Apple One, and whether I want to listen to music on Mac or iPhone to HomePods, something always doesn’t work.
