I only make short posts. This will not be one of those.
Amazing debate on
@TheRoninRadio about @RealmsDotGame .
Respect to
@radioralo and
@cagyjan1 for keeping it real and voicing your honest thoughts on the show. Many valid points were made and it shows where we need to improve as an IP to set expectations correctly.
Also,
@Theeban1437 and
@GilaCees , I couldn’t appreciate you more for standing up for us and explaining what Realms really is about. Much love to you both.
So what to expect of Realms?
We are a grassroots movement. Low funded, high passion, endless endurance. We will keep building and improving with our community. This doesn’t mean we lack a backbone. We have a core belief that we won’t steer away from, which is the original truth of web3 gaming that Axie pioneered: true ownership of gaming assets and giving power to the people who are part of the ecosystem. After all, our company is called “Age of Gamers” for a reason.
The AAA narrative:
That is NOT us! I couldn’t emphasize this more. Just because we build in Unreal Engine and have high fidelity graphics at our fingertips doesn’t mean we can deliver an equivalent to your favorite AAA title.
However, we can lean into the addictive and fun game mechanics that all of us love so much.
Currently we are working on game experiences such as Dungeon Crawler, Boss Fights, PvP Arena and an AI city. Breeding, earning and competing are at the heart of these experiences.
In 2026 we are planning to also add mini-games and risk to earn/prediction mechanics to the experience.
At the end of the day, Realms is not about hype or shortcuts, it’s about building steadily and transparently with our community at the center. We won’t overpromise, but we will keep improving, step by step, grounded in the values of true ownership and fair play. The challenges are real, but so is our commitment. This is a long journey, and we’re only at the start of it.
