Update on Juniper (June for short). The vet operated on her this morning, and all went well initially but she now has a fever so theyβre keeping her in another night - which will cost a further Β£500 (how much??). So Jakob and Hattie now have a Β£4000 bill to pay with the insurance only covering Β£1000.

My Jakob has set up a GoFundMe for his partnerβs beloved cat. Earlier this evening Juniper ate a long piece of string, so they took her to the emergency vet. After attempts to get her to throw up the string failed the only thing for this potentially fatal situation is an operation which will cost Hattie Β£3500 (which she doesnβt have). She's home!!! Apparently she is well known at the garage, the gaffer's son loves her and she regularly hangs out in their reception. π

Oh god, Ginny has managed to get herself trapped in the garage behind our house. She went out after dinner and was gone longer than usual, we used the tracker in our garden and no sign, so walked down the road with it and heard her screaming from behind the metal gate.
