Friends still here (and can see this through the suppression): If you're looking for a better place I recommend blue sky. Twitter experience, no ads (yet), great moderation, no algo - which means it WILL take work to find your people, but it did here too. Hope to see you again.

The balloon over the north side of the Denver area is not - repeat not - aliens. It's a high-altitude Stratollite balloon measuring solar radiation in the stratosphere above the 40th parallel. More info here: 9news.com/article/news/local… #COwx

I'm not in #Boulder right now, but for those asking, apparently the thing in the sky was not aliens. Which is exactly what they would say if they were trying to hide aliens...

We’re 5 seasons into Star Trek: The Next Generation and my daughter just asked me: “Daddy..” “Yes, darling?” “Does this…. exist?” “No honey, it’s just a story” “Awww… ok” For the last 7 months my daughter thought we were a galactic civilisation. What a let down.

I propose the 9-Year-Old Boy Theory of Economics: Building any machine which a 9-year-old boy would stare at in awe and fascination will lead to prosperity. It's not a perfect theory, but it does surprisingly well.

As of yesterday, there was only a 10% chance of favorable weather for a Sunday launch attempt.

F9/Cygnus NG-21: The launch time Sunday would be 11:02am EDT (1502 UTC); we haven't seen an updated forecast yet, but during a pre-flight telecon Friday, the forecast was 90% no-go due to thick clouds and high winds associated with a tropical depression moving into the Gulf of Mexico; if the Falcon 9 can't get off Sunday, the next two launch opportunities are Tuesday and Wednesday
