At Twins Congress 2025, @footprintsbl and TAPS Support highlight the role of peer support during complications and loss in multiple pregnancy. It provides connection, reassurance and belonging, filling gaps clinical care often misses.

4/5 mothers and their partners were asked ‘where the other twin is’ at appointments following the loss of their baby/babies. The ongoing distress & compounded harm is unimaginable and so easily avoided. There is so much to do to make perinatal care more inclusive, and

👶💖 Humbled and Grateful 💖👶
I was truly touched see these pictures posted with a kind message from one of my wonderful patients. It’s an absolute privilege to be part of a family’s journey — from pregnancy to delivery and beyond.
Moments like these are a reminder of why we do what we do. But it’s important to say that none of this is possible without the incredible team I’m fortunate to work alongside — midwives, neonatologists, anaesthetists, and admin staff — all playing a vital role in achieving the best outcomes for mothers and their babies.
Thank you to this amazing mum for her words — it means the world. Supporting families through both the joyful and challenging moments is at the heart of maternal and fetal medicine. 💙

These findings show that progress is being made in reducing baby deaths but there is still important work to do, especially to tackle the gaps linked to deprivation, ethnicity, and how early in pregnancy a baby is born. @TIMMSleicester

Pregnancy with TTTS and TAPS brings impossible choices. At 24 weeks, we had to let Rosie go to give Poppy a chance. She was born at 27 weeks, tiny but strong, while Rosie was born silent and still.
