2) Search for your clients' competitors
3) Look at the emails they're sending to their audience
4) Do this for 3-4 other brands
5) Implement the best ideas and angles for your clients
6) Win.

Just onboarded a client who wants me to redesign their welcome flows.
The issue? They want to keep the same copy their old agency used. The copy is bad. It is unclear, it does not sell, and it is part of why the flows are underperforming.
First push: I tell them the copy needs to change because design alone will not fix results.
Second push: if they resist, I show the numbers. Weak performance comes from weak messaging.
Rest: if they still want their copy, I suggest an A B test. Their copy against mine. After thirty days the data decides.
The point is simple. Give clear advice. Back it with evidence. Then let results prove your expertise.
