"Life has changed for us. Before the solar-powered garden, we walked long distances for water, often risking dangerous encounters with wildlife. Today, we have water close to home, food on the table, and an income we can depend on,” says Mawonei Makwara, a young mother from Makwara Village in Mbire.
What began as access to water has become a pathway to safety, food security, economic empowerment, and stronger families. As women earn an income and contribute to household needs, financial pressures have eased, helping reduce conflicts at home and build more resilient communities.
