To celebrate
#minnacanth day tomorrow, we gathered our previous and upcoming key initiatives for driving equality. While we’ve been a forerunner of promoting gender balance in our industry, the work continues – with an intersectional and more inclusive perspective.

ALT Minna Canth Day
ALT Maija Typpi-Häkkinen, Business Unit Director & DEI task force member, Frantic: “Developing an equal, diverse and inclusive work culture takes perseverance, courage to bring up also the uncomfortable observations, and high prioritization in every nook of the organization. It’s important to walk the talk, step by step.”
ALT Things we have done and continue to do to drive equality:
Creating an internal, multidisciplinary diversity, equity and inclusion task force.
Challenging gender norms and stereotypes in everything we do:
Being cognizant of the imagery and language we use in our communications and recruitment.
Recognizing the importance of role models and representation in the field of IT, and showcasing our people from various roles and backgrounds.
Making investments into the education of our people related to DEI.
Actively measuring our experiences of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Nurturing a culture of flexibility, enabling everyone to fit their work to their life and not the other way around, no matter what their life situation.
Partnering with Inklusiiv to spar and educate us to accelerate the change.
ALT What’s in the works:
Updating our salary model to increase salary transparency.
Creating our own culture handbook: the rules for a safe work environment and the ways in which safety is maintained.
Continuing educating ourselves, identifying pain points, and having those difficult discussions, too.
Challenging current ways of working that hinder equality together with our clients and partners: e.g. tackling the language requirements in our industry.
