If you’re skipping Tron: Ares because of the reviews, all I can say is you’re missing out. I loved it. The IMAX experience was peak.

What exactly is going on with film Twitter? I'm seeing a lot of hate for #TronAres and I can't understand why. It's not an Oscar worthy drama, it's pure spectacle and action. The 3D is some of the best implementation since Avatar. It's visually stunning. It's a bit silly but it's entriely inkeeping with the tone of the first two movies. I think people need this sort of entertainment every once in a while, just brainless spectacle. Some folks don't like that Sam and Quora weren't in this... but it very much points to them being included in any future installments. Mid credits scene also hints at interesting developments. It was absolutely fine for an afternoons viewing and IMAX 3D is the way to do it.
