Thanks @freddydk and @JesperSchulz for gathering this group of incredible people together. Was fun, and so tasty (maybe even too much 😅)
The dinner with our MVPs is always one of my favorite #DirectionsEMEA events. What an extraordinary group of #MSDyn365BC professionals 🥰 Thank you for all that you do, and thank you for your friendship 🙏

Join @waldo1001 and me on Saturday at #DOKAmericas 2024, hosted by @DirectionsEMEA in a discussion about why we recommend that you use a managed DevOps solution for your #MsDyn365Bc workflows/pipelines. This is important!

This is my view on why you and your colleagues should attend #DOKAmericas 2024 , a technical conference for #MsDyn365Bc hosted by @DirectionsEMEA 1. Learning how to do things smarter will almost certainly save you more time than you spend on attending the conference, and this learning will keep paying dividends for a long time. 2. Networking with fellow Business Central enthusiasts, including a number of Microsoft MVPs, a few Microsoft people (including @KennieNP and @freddydk) and other speakers attending the conference is invaluable and will almost certainly motivate you to go an extra mile. 3. Inspiration is for me the most important reason. Coming home from a technical conference will leave you inspired. Inspired to come up with new ideas on how to do things, new ideas on what to do and new views on why you should do things in specific ways. Investing in learning, networking and inspiration might just be the best way to spend a few days in Atlanta in September and I am 100% sure that the investment will pay off many times. After all... “Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets.” See you there. /Freddy

I second @AukeHoekstra's view on this - I think the opening ceremony was amazing
Some are angry about the "anti-Christian depiction of the last supper" at the Olympic Opening ceremony. (@elonmusk and @realDonaldTrump among others) A Dutch art historian explains it's not the last supper but a Dutch painting of the Olympic gods. And I explain what I loved. 🧵

Here’s the thing folks. I’ve been coding 32 years. When something like this happens it’s an organizational failure. Yes, some human wrote a bad line. Someone can “git blame” and point to a human and it’s awful. But it’s the testing, the Cl/CD, the A/B testing, the metered rollouts, an oh shit button to roll it back, the code coverage, the static analysis tools, the code reviews, the organizational health, and on and on. It’s always one line of code but it’s NEVER one person. Implying inclusion policies caused a bug is simplistic, reductive, and racist. Engineering is a team sport. Inclusion makes for good teams. Good engineering practices makes for good software. Engineering practices failed to find a bug multiple times, regardless of the seniority of the human who checked that code in. Solving the larger system thinking SDLC matters more than the null pointer check. This isn’t a “git gud C is hard” issue and it damn well isn’t an DEI one.

This one I simply have to repost 😋 All of you who know me just a little, know how passionate I am about this mission. In order to succeed with our goal of fully co-developing the application platform, we must solve a few technical challenges, but more importantly we need to figure out how to ensure that the #MSDyn365BC team isn’t the bottleneck for all the innovations coming from the community. This is my undivided priority in the next period (or 3) 🥳 If you’d like to help me solve that 🧩, let me know! I’d love to include the community to get this just right ☺️ Why? Because… #TogetherWeWin 😉
Our ultimate goal is “ the entire business application is co-developed” Jonas Blunck @freddydk and Alexander Holstrup elaborating in how we plan to open source @MSDYN365BC applications on GitHub at #BCTechDays
