I came across this post and have thought about it several times since. I have a tendency towards pessimism and even doomerism. How can we be optimists when the world sucks so much? I am convinced I need to change. The future is created by optimists.

At one point in blockchain-land there was a lot of work on platforms that were supposed to make it possible to have sane discussion on controversial topics. It’s a shame that fizzled, could’ve been a key contribution to the world.
