Let me get this straight... You did a de-make of Jupiter Hell to the DRL (formerly DoomRL) engine, which was itself was a de/re-make of the original Doom. Mad scientist moves!

The shader code is pretty simple. Use a noise texture to produce normals, use those normals both for warping the sample and for highlights and shadow, blur a bit, and add some point noise. godotshaders.com/author/frit…
