PLEASE please go to the event and support the artists. i know its a very terrible situation to witness but artists need you more than ever.

bro 'Patrons of the Arts' cancelled a convention yesterday midnight, so some people cancelled their accomodations and got partial refunds. they then decided to un-cancel the event this midnight.
the convention is in a week.

There's a con organizer in the ph that just canelled all their events after artists paid for the tables (some even for flights and hotels)
I'm sorry to the artists that fell for them. but ngl I'm pretty sure they just rugpulled you all, i'd be surprised if they refund anyone

they're literally trolling, theres no other explanation
you get no refunds, you get to sell nothing, and they get to take your money.

this was too reactive of a take, after thinking it over they probably just wanted to stop doing cons after all the backlash they received from the past couple of fumbles, and didnt realize they couldn't cancel anymore so close to the event date.

the decision was still rash and does screw over people, and could have been avoided. but I don't think i should attribute that to malice.
I imagine managing a con is stressful enough even without hundreds of artists mad at you.
I can't blame them from wanting to step away
