Just saw this on Facebook: Seller sells $50k card to buyer in Hong Kong. eBay doesn’t offer authentication to international buyers from US. Seller ships card to buyer using UPS fully insured. Buyer claims he received an empty box and files police report. eBay sides with buyer with Chinese police report. Seller out $50k unless he can get his claim covered by UPS. I have sooooo many questions. Why is seller shipping directly to buyer? Isn’t there hubs for international shipping? Doesn’t liability for seller end there? Why did seller proceed with this risky endeavor?
