As I reflect on the last 12 years in my final day as president, I’m reminded that serving Clemson has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.
Together, we achieved record applications, enrollment, retention rates, graduation rates, research funding and philanthropy — leaving a lasting, positive impact on Clemson and the state of South Carolina for generations to come.
I have loved serving as a university president. It is an exciting role, but also a physically taxing one. I need to focus on my health so that I can continue serving our Clemson Family in new ways – including returning as a member of our faculty. Clemson is home for us and I look forward to spending more time with my family and being involved in our community.
Thank you, Clemson Family. 🧡
