1/ What’s going on with schools in England? How come so many academy schools controllers are super-rich supporters of #Brexit, #BorisJohnson & Michael #Gove? I’ve been investigating with @warwickmansell Here’s what we’ve found: opendemocracy.net/en/shine-a…

📢Food banks often struggle to control stock and have either too much or too little of emergency food pack items. Help them to make sure families are getting just what they need. Download our free app, follow your local food bank, donate and make a difference. #EndFoodPoverty

Teachers please complete this - let’s all have our say about Ofsted.
Really encouraging number of submissions to the thealternativebiglisten.co.u…. When we get to 1k we will begin some initial analysis. Please, keep encouraging everyone and if you are in some position of authority it would be great to give staff time to make the submission.

Not the experience of so many small schools. You created a secondary, subject-based framework that doesn’t fit small schools then penalised them for not living up to it. Look at your own stats. That’s what’s happened. Too many small schools RI or Inadequate, Grossly unfair.

After the DfE’s announcement that single word judgements will stay, I’ve seen a few (for they are very few) people saying this is good because parents want them. Can *anyone* provide evidence of this desire? @educationgovuk @Ofstednews @m_gosling, perhaps who keeps saying this?

This 👇🏻 speak to many women who accessed sure start services and they’ll tell you similar stories. Friendship groups that have probably saved the economy £££s in therapy/ hospitalisation/ medication. Priceless.
I was 20 , still at Uni. The mums I met were inlate 30's, we formed a lasting bond. Have supported each other through ivf, illness, marriage breakdowns, kids life altering accidents, diagnosis of additional needs, massive emotional life changing. Can't put a price on that.

And if you really don’t fancy writing this, HTs - it’s a job that can take a great deal of time and you can still struggle to sell your school well - do get in touch. I’ll write it for you, or QA your existing one - and the call with your team to discuss it is so useful. 👍
SEF tips. Worth starting a thread. I’ll bookmark and add to it. Lots more on my website, too. In no order whatsoever! 1. Split your ‘impact’ section into ‘academic impact’ and ‘Impact on pupils’ Personal Development’. Say for PD; ‘more in the PD section, later.’.

Incredible that this was produced by the inspectorate. What were they thinking? Did they really think no-one would criticise this? It’s just rubbish. Thrown together. No planning, no thought, no… … listening. 🙄

Years ago alarm bells were ringing as soon as I realised that academies could make ‘profit’! It was unbelievable and it has been kept very quiet. Public money going through schools and into company coffers!

Hi headteachers and Principals, I'm booked up to Easter for SEF writing now, unless you are very desperate and I could possibly fit you in, so we are looking at the summer term. I have availability then. Looking forward to working with you!👍
