Sold! 1968 NY Assay Office 5.34 oz gold ingot at $44,100. Acquired Aug ’23 for $27,600 → ~22% annualized (gross) over ~2.4 years. Over the same period, generic gold went from roughly $1,890/oz in Aug 2023 to about $4,500 today — roughly ~43% annualized if just held bullion. In a historic gold bull run, bullion is the better financial instrument (so far) Collectibles are more for enjoyment and seems like venture capital to find that one big homerun worth it. Taking a little off the table and deploying into debt paydown in preparation for the great reset. Still own more NYAO's to capture potential upside in the collectibles market.
