CONFIRMED: Grok 4.5 is 2 to 3 weeks from release!
Grok foundation model V9-Medium (1.5T) has finished training. Evals look good. A lot of Cursor data was added in supplementary training and there is more to come. Fine-tuning is underway and reinforcement learning begins in a few days. 2 to 3 weeks to public release. This will be a major improvement over the 0.5T v8-small that currently serves all Grok production traffic, especially for difficult coding tasks.

1/10 We're building data centers in space. For AI. Giant orbital facilities running frontier models on solar power, cooled by the cold of space itself. Think ENIAC, except in orbit and absurdly more efficient. We are at the very beginning of AI compute. Here's where it's headed.

9/10 This is not science fiction. It's the obvious next step from what's already happening. We're compressing decades of computing progress into a few short years, because the money and the science both point the same way. Every new chip and architecture pulls that robot closer.

10/10 We're at the ENIAC stage right now, even as we bolt the orbital version together. The endgame isn't bigger data centers in space. It's intelligence escaping the data center entirely. As everyday and efficient as the brain itself. Not if. How fast. How soon until frontier AI is running on robots?

For anyone who works with SQL daily, Google Research just launched Gemini-SQL2. It's score on the BIRD benchmark exceeds both Claude Opus 4.6 and GPT 5.5!
🚀 Introducing Gemini-SQL2, our breakthrough text-to-SQL capability powered by Gemini 3.1 Pro! We've achieved state-of-the-art results on the highly competitive BIRD benchmark, translating natural language into execution-ready SQL queries. 🧵👇

Fable 5 is state-of-the-art on nearly all tested benchmarks, with exceptional performance in software engineering, knowledge work, scientific research, and vision. The longer and more complex the task, the larger Fable 5’s lead over our other models.

Here is my initial test of Gemma 4 12B QAT running in LM Studio.
We just dropped Gemma 4 Quantization-Aware Training (QAT) checkpoints on Hugging Face! All Gemma 4 model sizes and their drafters are now optimized with QAT to cut memory requirements and maximize on-device performance!

A bee doesn't waste energy explaining to a fly that honey is better than shit.

AI is not a replacement for understanding the fundamentals. Those who master the basics have the most to gain from AI. It’s how you go from being a passive user to a power user.

If SpaceX and Tesla merge the new holding company should be called Heart of Gold Holdings. The tagline would be "Don't Panic"

Huge news for the AI open source community! Elon Musk will open source the 0.5T Grok model!

We will open source the 0.5T model towards the end of this year. It should still be quite useful.

For anyone saying this is Grok 5 here is the evidence it’s not. Still, it will be a massive improvement.
Replying to @techdevnotes
Supplemental training has been added to 4.3. Grok 4.4 will be twice the size (1T) with training data through early April. Probably ready for release in early May. Grok 4.5 will be 1.5T and hopefully out by late May.

If humanity ever reaches a point where we can be a post-money society, we may finally have the chance to reverse the decline and restore healthy birth rates.
