Organism as mega-reactor.
Our latest research has just been published today in the journal Nature. We engineered yeast to produce the cancer therapeutic vinblastine. You can find the work here: nature.com/articles/s41586-0…. It is the longest biosynthetic pathway ever refactored into yeast.
