Remember the name: Paige Bueckers. 6th grade, think Diana Taurasi. Best 6th grade G I've ever seen. St. Louis Park.

♟️ The move Coach Cheryl Reeve was criticized for changed the Lynx’s future. 2024, Reeve traded down, drafted Alissa Pili over Angel Reese, picked up Chicago’s 2026 #2 pick. That pick became Olivia Miles, a generational talent. Chess, not checkers. #MinnesotaLynx #OliviaMiles

Not too often you get a generational talent with the #2 pick. This generational trend is highly unusual: 2024 Caitlin Clark 2025 Paige Bueckers 2026 Olivia Miles On deck: Juju Watkins

If any MN sports fans were locked in on the NBA Final, this can catch you up with what Olivia Miles did tonight. She missed a would-be tying three at the horn, but still put together another incredible highlight reel (note the and-one late right at A’Ja)

Olivia Miles was sensational. 29 PTS • 4 REB • 1 AST • 3/5 3PT The rookie put the Lynx ahead twice with back-to-back clutch buckets, only for Minnesota to give the lead right back on fouls. Lynx fall 100-97.
OLIVIA MILES. She's done it again! A 3 for the lead!

Paige Bueckers in her post-up bag. 💼 15 PTS, 2 REB, 2 AST. Too strong. Too skilled. Too smooth.

Cheryl Reeve just consistently shows why she’s one of the best evaluators in basketball. She doesn’t chase hype, she identifies skills that translate to the WNBA: elite passing like Olivia Miles, lightning-quick shooting like Azzi Fudd. That’s real scouting.
Cheryl Reeve on what they identified in scouting to see Olivia Miles as one of the two players that the Lynx identified having a “generational skill” “What I said on draft night is that there were two players that had generational skills, I would now classify her(Miles) as a generational talent… I think it’s really easy to identify great passing because there’s not a lot of players that are great at it so instinctually so. And then with Azzi(Fudd) the quick release her actions and scoring the basketball, you know, incredibly valuable… I think in the scouting process when you can repeat something over and over and over again and has been doing so in Livs case for a long time, it’s just a matter of can you figure out the pro game in terms of pace and physicality and all the stuff that goes with it, and that’s the part you don’t know… we thought for sure she’d be a really good back up point guard(laughing)”
