we've been asked today how #SB202 changes our mission or our work. and to that, we would remind the world that during the Civil Rights Movement, regular people sat at restaurant counters to declare what they believed to be right, even in the face of racist laws.
we are inspired by those giants and will not be deterred. the passage of SB202 is just another step cementing the Georgia GOPโs legacy on the wrong side of history. our moral compass mandates we will continue to support individuals making their voices heard in future elections.
just because something is illegal, doesn't make it wrong. providing someone with a snack, drink, chair of even a meal when they are standing in hours-long lines (that disproportionately impact minorities) should not be a legal issue. it is our obligation to aid others in need.
