Based on 7,143 participants in a Deadlock community survey 51.2% players came from Overwatch (it's so over). 54.6% are willing to spend money on Cosmetic Microtransactions (80.3%) and the overwhelming majority trust developer's "long-term vision". Organized by r/DeadlockTheGame and @xGrelgn.

Valve has been hit by yet another class action lawsuit in the Netherlands, this time from Consumer Competition Claims (CCC). The CCC claims that Valve holds a dominant position in the market, estimated at around 85%, and is breaching competition law through so-called "Most Favoured Nation" clauses. They argue that Valve’s 30 percent cut on all game sales is too high and reflects monopolistic behaviour. Dutch consumers have suffered total damages of more than €220 million. Source: GameClaim

Another day, another lawsuit against Valve. A new class action lawsuit filed in Washington court by two gamers, who claim that Microsoft is in cahoots with Valve to push anticompetitive practices. "If Microsoft lowers the price of one of its own games for distribution on its own platform, it must also lower the price it offers that product for sale on Steam's platform." "Microsoft and Valve are partners in a cartel over the market for PC game distribution, by choosing to collude rather than compete, Microsoft deprived consumers of the benefits of competition: lower prices, increased output, unique content selection, and higher quality. Consumers were overcharged on their PC game purchases as a result of these anticompetitive practices." Via Aftermath.

Gabe Newell's company Inkfish signed a contract for a new 531-foot vessel for seafloor mapping, research, and exploring the deepest parts of the ocean. The contract is valued at $816 million. "The RV11000 is not just another research vessel - it represents a new level of ambition in deep-sea exploration. No other vessel has combined such a wide range of newly developed and highly advanced technologies into a single platform dedicated to operating at the deepest parts of the ocean". Via. We chose to FF against @MeleeCreepsDL today in the @DLNightShift Bo3 after they used a game-breaking strategy involving the comeback urn that the devs likely did not foresee would be possible. MLC said that they did this to ensure it gets patched out for the larger tournament, and hopefully that pans out. With that being said, at the end of the day, we are all members of the same small community that is competitive Deadlock, and some prior communication in regard to the fact that they are going to be executing this would have been appreciated. To all the viewers and supporters who were expecting a full series, we apologize for the FF, and understand that it can be frustrating to see happen.

can't wait for gaming companies to start feeding us cloud gaming subscription propaganda again due to the high hardware prices.

hard honing muscle and mental memory in a constantly changing experimental game such as deadlock is, by definition, a waste of time (a fun waste of time). if you enjoy doing that, that's completely fine, but you have to understand what you signed up for. if you want to participate in tournaments under these conditions, be prepared to lose because of a random test that the developers decided to run on a large group of players. cry on twitter is free, but it's not the most productive way to get things to improve and i'll keep doubling down on this and ragebaiting cause i got tired of seeing the same opinions that obviously doesn't represent (neither do i) the majority by being the loudest.
Replying to @gabefollower
i just took issue with your generalisation of pro play being a waste of time

This is how creating a souvenir skin looks like. You can choose autograph but not positions or anything else.

it's funny how easy it is to ragebait ex players from other games, these guys are not prepared to exist in the valve community

being a pro player in the current state of deadlock is not silly, but just a waste of time, pretty sure that most of them will die out, unable to withstand the actual competition

based on the comments, apparently crying "pros" on twitter because of a "sudden" change in a closed test that is supposed to be iterated all the time is equivalent to posting proper feedback on a forum that was specifically created for that purpose. deadlock's twitter crybabies keep suprising me with the worst takes possible.
it's funny to see "competitive" deadlock players crying about the urn update. the game is in the closed alpha, what "competitive" tournaments are you even talking about? just give feedback bru
