Imports are helping #covid19ireland grow in Ireland. A crude analysis can show ~21k of the ~38k cases from July on could be from the spreading of just ~240 imports. The ~30 in Week 28 (start July) could have grown to 8k. Based on growth of total cases - imports each week.
ALT Error in first version of this which just uses total case growth rather than the less imported cases version

We've been told that lockdowns are meant to protect the health system from being overloaded.
Ireland's hospital and ICU occupancy (for COVID patients) is among the lowest in Europe right now.

For those wondering why Ireland has been more restrictive than other European counties - we have the lowest hospital capacity of those nations. System was barely coping pre-COVID.
