I have never seen a movie get so much early buzz like Disclosure, to only have marketing and interest fizzle the way it has.

The cynic in me would suggest Spielberg was leveraging the UFO Files release to do all the heavy promo of the film, and once that sputtered and turned out to be a giant nothing burger it took the film with it.

Friends, we’ve come to the great Solemnity of Corpus Christi—a celebration of the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist. Our first reading mentions the “manna” that fed the Israelites in the desert—a mysterious bread from heaven described in the book of Exodus. This is then correlated to the Eucharist, the bread from heaven that Jesus gives us, in our Gospel from the sixth chapter of John. I want to explore four dimensions of this relationship between manna and the Eucharist: youtu.be/Y3ajwigtUmg

Yeah, anyone who bought into the “we plan on a theatrical window” when they were trying to buy WB is an idiot. This has ALWAYS been their play, the theatrical window is a waste of money and resources from Netflix’s perspective.
Netflix film chief Dan Lin tells @nytimes that if any director asks Netflix to give their film a theatrical release, they will be shown the door. “There is a group of filmmakers who still want theatrical. Those are filmmakers that we’ve accepted we just won’t work with.” tinyurl.com/y6nuftck

The mask slipped because they lost the WB bid and they know the pending lawsuit from the 10 state AGs to block the Paramount bid will fail. The industry should ALWAYS have been behind the Paramount purchase, but many are so blinded by politics they can’t see past the Ellison’s.

Friends, an ordination is one of my favorite things to do as a priest. Today, I ordained three young men to the priesthood at the lovely Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka in Winona. Please pray for Father Riley Becher, Father Cullen Gallagher, and Father Adam Worm as they embark on their vocation.

Pope Leo XIV praised Venerable Fulton J. Sheen on June 1 as “a light of faith, hope, and love” whose radio and television broadcasts brought the Gospel to millions of Americans — including the pope himself as a child. Speaking at a Vatican audience with members of the Pontifical Mission Societies, the pope called it providential that the beloved archbishop will be beatified during the centennial year of the Pontifical Mission Societies he once led as the national director of the U.S. Society for the Propagation of the Faith, @TPMS_USA.
