This is NGC4565, aka the "Needle Galaxy", located in the constellation Coma Berenices, approx 40 million light years away. We see it edge-on from our POV, even tho its a spiral galaxy, likely very similar to the Milky Way in size and structure. #astrophotography

I honestly cannot believe what I witnessed last night with the #aurora. The entire sky, like a dome over the top of us, all night long. I have 1000s a pics to sort thru, but thought I would share a couple (these r straight out of the camera!) #Auroraborealis #Astrophotography
