I want to introduce you to Steve. He’s 83. His wife died a few months ago and he comes to this lodge in Spring Mill, Indiana and draws. He taught art in Terre Haute, IN his whole life. He also did courtroom sketches in court cases. In the comments I’ll share some pics from his sketchbook. He was excited when I said I was going to share his sketches with the world.

Long shot but maybe this will reach you, @andmichaelgreen and @ambernoiz. Like so many others, I was deeply moved by Blue Eye Samurai. It did something to me that very little art ever has. It didn’t just resonate. It confronted me. It forced me to sit with parts of myself and my history I had spent years trying to outrun. For the last 9 months, I wrote an album through the emotional lens of your world and characters because it was the only framework strong enough to hold what I was carrying. While this project uses AI vocals as a way for me to remain anonymous, i assure you every word is human and hand written. Every line carries double meaning. It reflects your characters and world while it quietly exposes pieces of mine. My world has been filled with body dysmorphia, grief, loss and trauma. The kind of trauma that reshapes your reflection until you no longer recognize the person staring back. The quiet, exhausting weight of surviving in a body and a world that feel hostile. A world that dealt a history of wounds that never quite scarred over. While my life is much, much better now, the dysmorphia still lurks and there are days where the Onryō rises a little closer to the surface. Your story gave me a something to metabolize it instead of drowning.
