Brrrr..... it's cold outside! But our thoughts are already turning to spring, with members of Age Concern joining us to plant bulbs as part of our Wild Wellbeing group. Age Concern Wild Wellbeing is supported by Merstham Millennium Trust and Hedley Foundation.

How small can a nature reserve be? We say: if there’s wildlife on it, it counts! 🪳🦇🍄

Blackbirds love feeding on lawns, often tilting their heads to listen for earthworms. They also enjoy insects and berries. Leave out a few apples or plant berry bushes to invite these charming visitors into your garden 🍎

Bottom trawling=one of the most destructive fishing methods in our seas. It drags heavy nets across the ocean floor🐟
Today is the final day to respond to @GOVUK’s consultation on banning this practice in England. Tell Minister Hardy you support the ban👉

This beautiful sunset over Gatton Park's Hop Pond was captured by one of our residents, Joel Miller. With three lakes, a number of smaller ponds and a serpentine lake, #gattonpark is a wonderful place to catch the autumn colours and their reflections.
We were delighted to welcome Leatherhead Link #Mencap group to #gattonpark, organised by the Surrey Gardens Trust Gateway Project. Members of the group had a tour and tea and cake, visited the Japanese garden and enjoyed buggy rides around the parkland. Great fun was had by all!
We welcomed MHA Communities East Surrey to #gattonpark to make these bee boxes. They will help solitary bee species and other insects survive the winter. The charity tackles loneliness and brings people together. The project is supported by Bryan and June Amos Foundation.

What a magical August it's been at #gattonpark in Reigate! First we welcomed a wonderful array of vintage cars. Then we held our inaugural barn dance on the lawn in front of Gatton Hall. And this weekend we hosted a candlelight concert in partnership with Lumos. #reigate
