His design is so dynamic. Aside from the fact that it catches projectiles and literally reacts to his emotions, the way light reflects off it is incredible and very hard to pull off.
The very jagged silhouette also communicates very effectively how dangerous he really is.

Somebody said live action DC at its best tries to be Lord of the Rings.
At worst it settled for being discount marvel.

DC on film is suppsoed to be larger than life and mythological. That's WB's legacy as a studio. They're a film division, not a comic book shop.
Bringing MCU quips, song lists and so on is never going to work in the long run. It doesn't have to be Snyder even.

13 years ago, we got the greatest live-action Superman of the modern era. The looks, the aura, and the action were all there. Henry Cavill deserved at least one more solo superman movie not batman vs superman
