At a minimum, I would like a reason given for our dismissal, because without a reason I will only have my own documentation to show, regarding how Gen Con addressed issues of both race and disability.

The GCWS committee was informed tonight by @Gen_Con, with no reason given, that we our show went "really well" but no people on the committee will be invited back next year.
I request a meeting with Mr. Adkison, and want to make sure my friend @TheEdVerse is aware.

In sadness, we join in sharing: Friend of GCWS and 2024 Featured Speaker Howard Andrew Jones has been diagnosed with brain cancer, which is expected to be fatal.
We are grateful to Howard for sharing his brilliance and kind spirit with our writing communities.

I had a blast at #GenCon2024. I reconnected with old friends, made some new ones, and sat in on some great panels. The best part was meeting a long-time F&SF reader who said my story, Dontay's Bones, has stuck with him more than any other story he's read in the magazine.
