Hot off the press! We assembled 7 new diploid phased hemp genomes and compared them to 200 other assemblies. We also looked at the recombination landscape across the genome and re-mapped the location of the Early1 flowering time locus. Check it out here: mdpi.com/1422-0067/26/3/1165

The fourth (and final🎉) chapter of my dissertation is out in @Hortres! We used a segregating F2 population to investigate the role of cannabinoids in defense against chewing herbivores. Check out the article here: doi.org/10.1093/hr/uhad207

Researchers at @CornellAgriTech @CornellCALS have discovered a gene in hemp for resistance to powdery mildew, which will help breeders develop more resistant hemp cultivars. The result will be better overall crop production and quality. news.cornell.edu/stories/202…

Excited that the third chapter of my dissertation was accepted to @MPMIjournal! We identified a new source of powdery mildew resistance in hemp resulting from a MLO susceptibility gene interrupted by a (suspected) transposable element . First look here: apsjournals.apsnet.org/doi/1…
