The X Lite, aka “New X Android”, beta is now available for non-premium accounts too 👀
Previously, it was limited to Premium users and those with access through the official group.
The option appears in the sidebar, but it doesn't seem to be available for all accounts yet.

Grok Build is a fully interactive CLI, which means you can actually use your mouse to click. No flickers.
Especially useful as I find myself running 5 agents at a time and jumping between plans.

Update on my experience Grok Build.
The team at @xai made an update, while I was sleeping, and I can already see the difference.
Yesterday, I couldn't get Grok Build to run for more than a minute or two.
I literally wake up this morning, see that the team made an update, and now everything I'm doing in Grok Build is running, and running, and running, until it finishes.
I'm pretty sure nobody at xAI slept last night, and the end result is Grok Build is 10x better than it was a day ago.
What happens over the next week is going to be wild.
Now I'd say the beta has gone from a 6/10 to an 8/10, in a freakin' day 😅

Okay, so initial feedback on Grok Build after spending a day with it.
The TUI UX is amazing, easily the best UX I've seen for a coding agent, the mouse control blew my mind, it's really nice.
Quality of the model - it's okay, not bad, but not exceptional. I'd say Opus 4.6/5.7, GPT 5.5, Composer 2 and GLM 5.1 write better code.
Right now it's on par with something like SWE-1.6 from Cognition, and similar in many ways, it's fast, but is building at more of an MVP-level vs. a production grade.
The only thing that is driving me crazy, and the biggest feedback I'd have for the team is: I can't get it to run for more than a minute or two. No matter what I try, it even responds saying things like, "sorry I will run for longer," but then it runs for like 30 seconds.
Here's my longest run so far, 1 minute and 43 seconds, kinda felt like a small victory.
It always ends by saying something like "Keep going? Just reply with anything and I'll keep building"
So you really have to just sit and babysit it if you want to get any coding done.
Overall though, super impressed, and I know this is an early beta so it is already exceeding expectations. I'd give it a 6/10 right now, which for an early beta is solid.
I think the team did a great job being transparent about where it's at, releasing early, saying they released early, and getting feedback.
Really looking forward to continuing to use it and watching it get better. Bullish on Grok Build 💪

I'd be more interested in a Universal Driving Protocol. The road is way safer if a car can have more knowledge about the road without relying on its own cameras.
Any car should be able to talk to other cars.

Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro says layoffs impacting about 1,000 roles are underway this week as the company looks to “streamline our operations” across multiple divisions:
“Over the past several months, we have looked at ways in which we can streamline our operations in various parts of the company to ensure we deliver the world-class creativity and innovation our fans value and expect from Disney,” he wrote in the memo. “Given the fast-moving pace of our industries, this requires us to constantly assess how to foster a more agile and technologically-enabled workforce to meet tomorrow’s needs. As a result, we will be eliminating roles in some parts of the company and have begun notifying impacted employees.”
